  1. Introduction

What is ISC?

The idea for International Stable Currency came from one simple question:

What if there was a stablecoin that directed the returns generated from its reserves back into its token’s value, rather than pocketing the money for themselves?

From this question sprouted thousands of conversations and a year and a half of preparation. Our primary objective was to create a stablecoin project that perfectly aligned its incentives with its holders. In this spirit, we present The International Stable Currency Whitepaper.

International Stable Currency (ISC) is the next step in the evolution of money: a stablecoin that is designed to grow in value over time, pegged to the value of an underlying basket of financial assets, such as commodities, bonds, and equity.

Unlike most stablecoins, ISC is not pegged to the US Dollar; or in fact, to any fiat currency. Free from the usual problems of money printing that cause currency devaluation, ISC is designed to beat inflation.

Our mission is to create a stable, international currency that can be used for any transaction, online or offline. Everyone deserves equal access to an inflation-resistant currency; the peace of mind that their purchasing power will be the same tomorrow.
